Albany Community Action Partnership's Cohoes Food Pantry offers emergency food for residents in the City of Cohoes. The pantry receives food from the Food Pantries for The Capital District and the Regional Food Bank. The program assists numerous households over the year when food budgets run short and emergency supplies are needed. In the past year, over 2,400 bags of groceries were given out to area residents. The program receives strong support from senior citizens, local churches, schools, businesses and civic organizations in Cohoes. This type of support has allowed the Cohoes Food Pantry to grow and keep pace with the growing hunger problems in the area.
