PLEASE NOTE THAT ACAP WILL NO LONGER BE HANDLING HEAP APPLICATIONS
Starting in November 2012, Albany Community Action Partnership will no longer serve as an alternate certifier (application assistance) for the federally funded Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
As of now, all HEAP applications for Albany County residents are processed by Cornell Cooperative Extension. Their staff will assist income eligible households in completing the application process and can answer any current HEAP related questions.
HEAP Applications can now be accepted at the following Cornell Cooperative Extension locations:

Applicants who have no power or less than 1/4 tank of deliverable fuel should be directed to the Albany County Department of Social Services at 162 Washington Avenue, Albany NY.
