ALBANY – On Thursday, May 17th from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Albany Community Action Partnership (AlbanyCAP) will host a free Community Block Party and a “Grand Opening” of its Outreach Center at 333 Sheridan Avenue in the West Hill Community. In celebration of National Community Action Month and the opening of its new building, AlbanyCAP invites all members of the Albany County community to join us for this celebration. Highlights of the day include family entertainment, dancing, community resources and free food. At least 500 people are expected, including Corey Ellis, a former Head Start student, and Mayor Jerry Jennings.

AlbanyCAP, established in 1966 as Albany County Opportunity, Inc. and a member of the Community Action Partnership, a national association of more than 1,000 agency members, is focused on inspiring change in the community. The organization provides support services to more than 6,000 residents annually with a comprehensive approach to help people improve their lives and their futures.
